I work at the intersection of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), with particular focus on the application of web-based, mobile, IoT, and geospatial technology for improved WASH services provision in emerging markets and developing countries.
Currently based in Cape Town, I spend my time developing and implementing ICT-related products and systems, and conduct trainings based around the use of these technologies.
Other areas of interest and research include:
knowledge Management and Sharing; Data Visualization; ICT/Mobiles for health (water-borne diseases), education (eLearning), emergency response (droughts and floods), and agriculture (irrigation, remote sensing & GIS).
- completed a Masters of Science (MSc.) in Environmental Sustainability in the School of GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh, and a Bachelors of Arts (BA) in Political Science at the University of New Hampshire.
- lived and worked in the US (Harvard University GSAS), Germany (Margraf Publishers) and Peru (CONDESAN).
